Severe Weather Conditions in Canada and Australia
The Canadian Postal Service informs that mail delivery is suspended in Iqaluit. The Iqaluit Post Office closed yesterday afternoon due to high wind conditions. All Government Offices have closed, taxis and snow removal vehicles have been taken off the road. Trucks hauling mail to Portage la Prairie, Brandon, Dauphin and southern Manitoba were delayed over the weekend due to highway closures and hazardous driving conditions.
And on the home front The Australian Postal Service also informs that due to flooding, the Great Northern Highway between Meekatharra and Newman has been closed, resulting in mail delivery delays for Newman, Hedland, Broome and Kimberley.
